On November 4th, the Park High Jazz Ensembles Reperatory Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble performed for an audience of 75 after weeks of rehearsal. Practicing together twice a week at 7:15 am, students experience this type of opportunity as an integral part of their coursework. This particular performance was assited by guest educator musician and graduate of New York Julliard School of Music Erica von Kleist. Ms. von Kleist ran rehearsals for 2 days in preparation for the performance
Students noted how funit was to play for an engaged live audience in a professional venue. They enjoyed working with Erica von Kleist and are excited to play more gigs like this.
