B.S. in Mathematics Education from The University of Montana-Western
M.S. in Mathematics Education from Western Governor's University
I originally graduated from high school in Harrison, MT. I spent many years working on my bachelor's degree before deciding to be a math teacher. My first teaching job was in Bainville, MT. I taught in Bainville for a year and a half before coming to Park High. This is my 5th year at Park High. This upcoming year will also be my third season as the freshman girls basketball coach.
I love teaching math as I enjoy the process of solving difficult problems. I also love spending time with students and seeing them succeed in an area that many people struggle with. My favorite subject in math is Algebra 2 as it tends to push the limits of both myself and my students. The usefulness of some of the material that is covered in Algebra 2 I find fascinating.
I am married to my wife, Rayna, who is a teacher out at Pine Creek Elementary. We recently had our first baby girl, Jolee. She is the joy of our lives at this point. In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors. My favorite hobbies are wakeboarding and playing basketball and spending time with my family. My wife and I travel to Yellowstone often and enjoy finding back country hikes that are not as populated as some of the main places.
