Presenters
PHS Academic Departments | Each department presents the incredible courses, curriculum, and expectations within their departments at Park High School. PHS Academic Departments include English, Social Studies, Math, Science, World Languages, Health/PE, Special Education, Visual and Performing Arts (VPA), and Career & Technical Ed (CTE). | ||
"Hidden in Plain Sight" with Justin Matthews from Southwest Montana Prevention | Justin Matthews is a Prevention Specialist who will guide you through a "teenager's bedroom" and educate you on how to spot signs of possible substance use and risky behavior. Justin will also have other resources on how to help your teen navigate peer pressure around drugs and alcohol. | ||
"Healthy Relationships with Technology" with Brenda Stephani from L'esprit | Brenda Stephani is a therapist with L'esprit who has expertise in healthy technology use, parenting with technology, and/or identifying problematic technology use in youth. She will be giving a short presentation on this topic and offer additional resources for parents. | ||
Big Brothers Big Sisters with Lydia Islas | Lydia Islas is the Park County Program Manager of BBBS of Big Sky Country. She will be presenting ways that your high schooler could get involved with a positive experience through Big Brothers Big Sisters! | ||
Infinite Campus & Canvas with LPS Staff | Our local experts, Sarah Dahl and Lisa Peterson, give a quick lesson on features to utilize in Infinite Campus and Canvas to monitor your student's progress and help them be their most successful in school. | ||
Interquest Canine Agency | Beth Kendall and her partner, Storm, demonstrate the skills that detection canines are capable of and how we utilize their services here at Park High School | ||
Ranger Clinic | Park High School partners with Livingston Health Care to run the Ranger Clinic out of the building. Dr. Chris Spromberg (clinical psychologist) and Paula Coleman (pediatric nurse practitioner) see students here in the building so that they can get the medical care they need and don't even have to leave school! Nurse Holly Sienkiewicz will be presenting the services offered through Ranger Clinic and taking guests on a tour. | ||
Farm to School | Farm to School has had a long-standing relationship with Livingston Public Schools. Here at PHS they operate our Plant Growth Center and work closely with our food services! They will be providing tours of our Plant Growth Center and information about their partnership with PHS. | ||
Livingston Police Department | A member of our very own Livingston Police Department will be joining us to inform parents of current risks and concerns they should be aware of in our community that is impacting our youth. They will also present ways to stay vigilant in keeping teens safe and out of harm's way. | ||
Key Points of the Student Handbook with Becky Ayler | Mrs. Ayler, Vice Principal, will be leading a presentation and Q&A around Park High's student handbook. Curious about some of our policies – Mrs. Ayler will help you navigate them and answer any questions you have. | ||
Dinner provided by LPS Food Services | We welcome everyone who attends to enjoy a beautiful and delicious meal prepared by our very own Livingston Public School Food Services department at Park High School! |
